After releasing a video teaser earlier this week, CUBE DC released the first track of the Cube Voice Project on April 30th in Korea. The track is titled "Perfume" and features BEAST's Yang Yoseob as well as Cube Girls, a group of girls that has not officially debuted through CUBE DC. CUBE DC is a newly-formed subsidiary company of powerhouse label, Cube Entertainment.
The project will focus on the vocal aspect of the music industry without emphasizing performance. To start off the project, "Perfume" is a pop song with a flowing melody perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons. While Yoseob carries most of the melody of the song, the girls showcase their outstanding vocal talents as they harmonize perfectly with Yoseob's voice.
The lyrics of the song tell about how the girl is the "only one" to him with her sweet scent and that he wants the feeling to last forever. Immediately after its release in Korea, the song fared well on the charts and found a spot within the top ten on many of the country's online music charts.
