The final showdown between SBS "K-Pop Star - Season 2" contestants Akdong Musician (Lee Soohyun, 15; Lee Chanhyuk, 18) and Bang Yedam (12) was aired on April 7th from the Bucheon Gymnasium, as the two remaining groups battled for the title as the season's winner.
Akdong Musician, siblings, took the title as winner of "K-Pop Star - Season 2." Lee Chanhyuk stated, "I didn't know we'd get this far, all the Top 10 were really good. Thanks mom and dad."
The Top 2 were asked to sing a song sung earlier in the season by other contestants. Akdong Musician took on the track "Mmmbop," showcasing their own arrangement of the track with witty lyrics and new melody, getting a good response from their audience last week.
The siblings showcased exceptional skills at the beginning of the season as composers, music arrangers and musicians. Akdong Mucisian won 3 million won along with the chance to officially debut under their choice of either YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment or SM Entertainment.
